Jala People Consulting has closely partnered with VTV and their clients since 2009, complementing client growth strategies established with VTV through organisational development and people management initiatives, supported by sound human resource management practices.

The synergy in this relationship naturally evolved from a shared passion for enabling small-medium sized businesses, and their people, to reach potential beyond what they dreamed.

Our expertise in the ever-evolving fields of organisational psychology, as well as our functional knowledge of human resource management in the South African context is also core to our ability to meet our clients’ diverse people requirements.

Our services cover the full ambit of people management requirements for small-medium organisations across industries, falling into three areas, namely: organisational development and change management consulting, assessment, and facilitated interventions.

Organisational development and change management

In terms of consulting, our clients benefit from custom-designed interventions that are output focused and simple to implement, but that are still undergirded by proven psychological principles without been hidden beneath layers of faddish jargon. They can also rely on us to implement interventions in a way that is well though through given people dynamics within their work environments.

We help clients increase employee engagement by enriching the work experience of talented staff by ensuring empowering leadership practices and continuous development.

The manner in which we build capacity within our clients to adapt to changing requirements comes from our uniquely non-traditional approach to people performance management – based on the most recent research on what drives success of knowledge-driven organisations operating within dynamic contexts.

We also have a natural appreciation and fascination for the challenges leaders face when transitioning the organisation from micro to small; small to medium; and medium to large, and we provide leadership / management development interventions to help enable leaders to meet these challenges. These interventions cover a wide range for example: performance coaching skills, or emotional intelligence training.

Assessment services

We also have strong competencies in all types of assessments, ranging from individual assessment for development, career change, or selection purposes – through to organisational assessment that can include large international culture and climate surveys.

Human resources management process consulting

As we view organisations as complete people systems, we will always seek to “get the noise out the system” by ensuring sound and streamlined HR policies, processes and practices are in place. To this end we guide clients on how to make sound people decisions on who they hire, how they structure their teams, how to optimise their talent, and at times will help navigate them through employee relations and other staff issues.
